Sandra Ackermann - Point Blank Mar 02, 2007 - Apr 28, 2007
In her painting, Sandra Ackermann has been concentrating so far on stylising the human presence. Over the past years she has been focusing on the portrait, which has been developped continously, while she paid particular attention to the outward appearance.
Since last year now Ackermann’s way of painting has been shifting towards an internal and more emotional point of view. Formally she is moving away from the imitating depiction.
With her new works the artist confronts the fragmentary line and the naked canvas with an illusive and perfectionisticly arranged surface or she designs emotional contexts from picture elements without any close correlation.
In form and content she is analysing both the artificial human and physical reality.
